It's Very Useful!

"it's very useful" is a great observation on so many things that come through our lives. Each episode, relationsip, event, drama, thrill, etc. can be viewed with the perspective "it's very useful."  Learning, growing, insight, opportunity, et. al. then rule every day.

The fatigue and malaise of the past ten days has created this kind of head space to regain traction and be stimulated to write. How to allow the flow to come back naturally? How to be OK with a lack of production? What can be gained from a slower pace and the creative juices lying dormant for a few days?

Of course; patience, patience, patience is the mantra. That is always the toughest challenge when humans want things to be different. It always reminds of the confrontation in 1982 at the little French Bistro near the ferry in Clinton, WA on Whidbey Island. Did they really say what was happening in their domain was not organic?  Were we really force feeding the community something they did not want? NO!

Of course we weren't but it was one of the early lessons in ego, control, and the difference between a real spiritual life and talking a good philosophical game, but not living it. BTW if you ever want more details about the events and occurrences of things referenced on this site, do not hesitate to comment below and ask for more insight into what happened.

“We may explore the universe and find ourselves, or we may explore ourselves and find the universe. It matters not which of these paths we choose.”  Diana Robinson

I hear about what others are doing,
But if I am not there is it really happening?
I learn about history, discoveries, accomplishments,
But I can't tell if it affects my reality,
Should i care?

What am I doing here?
I can see others breathing, talking,
Walking, eating, working, playing.
When it gets dark most are sleeping.
But not on the other side of the planet,
Doing things the same

When am I supposed to do nothing?
How do I find this out? How do I know?
What is positive or negative?
Do I follow the crowd; do what they do?
Figuring it out is heavy.

Be flexible, aware, present, shift;
Direction is ever changing, intention maintains.
Mistakes will occur, so apply patience and understanding.
Stumbling is still a forward movement.

Anonymous?

The word is out, but sometimes the word seems to be coming out of nowhere. There is no intention to surprise, bother, or otherwise interfere. It is purely to connect, suggest ideas, share thoughts, and be part of the discussion. Just plain tired of listening to the contradictions, half-truths, and deception all without he volume raised to ear splitting levels. (see previous post reference to "she doth protest too much."

Where to go from here? Beyond making a living, paying the bills, staying healthy, visiting the relatives, checking in with friends, there still is a need for more. Being an anonymous bystander doesn't feel right. It feels empty. This can't be the way. Seriously, this is serious.

That "What's it all about Alfie" feeling gets heightened when life is just normal and does not include some kind of participation outside of the inner circle. Vic is coaching soccer and working to make a difference. Landrus' work is two fold; a living but so much more in the current and future lives of humans with Autism. That's what I'm talkin' about.

This ongoing observation and reflection is an attempt at making a difference. Creating stimulus, suggesting perspectives, and building a network of humans that natually "pay it forward", and realize that their tiny place as 1 of 7 billion is not insignificant.

Start thinking about what your actual numbers. If there are 7 billion t-shirts and they are numbered 1 - 7,000,000 what number is yours. (1, 13 and 7,000,000 are spoken for). Leave a comment behind or send an email to robby1251@gmail.com and reserve yours.

Sick as a ......

Being very sick is very humbling. Making it 3 or 4 seasons on a 3 or 4 year old flu shot, it is inevitable. When that flu arrives it knocks out the energy and takes all inward focus to make it minute by minute. If you have begun to make a habit of dropping by here now and again for a fresh take on today's reality, sorry for the 5 day absence. It was unavoidable.

Focus is powerful. Cranking up this entry in front of Kill Bill 2, determination becomes the signature send off for a week of pounding headaches, body discomfort that makes even lying down hurt; but complaining is not an option. Part of the journey is hearing and seeing the stories of real suffering. It is painful and real and the lessons run deep.

How to escape that reality. How to forge a life built on the truth of how bad and good it can be with being jaded. Faith seems like the age old tradition amongst millennia of humanoids to deal with the unthinkable. But why set faith outside of self? Why not believe we shall overcome on the strength of the mind we are born with, the DNA handed down so many fold it is impossible to know how deep it runs.

Yes, the river runs deep. To understand the depth and breadth you go back to the beginning. And a interesting tidbit about the beginning. The A #1 question arises. How did the chaos of the moment before the beginning of time, become the moment at the beginning of time. A man tells me he knows an answer and has written a book about it and is looking for a publisher. At 80, his desire isn't wealth and fame, it is about adding his ideas to the discussion.

Interesting reading that would be. You know anybody that's in the business? Let's get it in front of someone who might say, "we can sell a bunch of those books."

The Trail of a Good Human

Dances with Wolves scrolled by last evening reminding watchers that there have been some very admirable cultures and societies on Earth (choosing to dwell on the natives today not the rape and pillagers).

Writers have conjured and dreamed of possible future and/alien peoples; Roddenberry's Federation and Cameron's Navi are prime examples.

Share with us your knowledge of nations, subcultures, societies, or tribes that exist today you believe resemble, or maybe a better word is exemplify, the attributes of community, respect, awareness, politics, spirituality, etc.

Being 1 of 7 Billion is an overwhelming concept. There is no single way to cope with this mind pending reality, but there are many ways to make your time on Earth meaningful. Despite being a minuscule piece of the puzzle, without you the puzzle is incomplete. How do you walk and then leave behind the "trail of of a good human"?

There is a dichotomy to existence; life is simultaneously simple and complex; one struggles with feelings about being abnormal. One realizes along the way that striving to produce positive outcomes is accomplished by practicing the art of making thoughtful choices. The path to understanding and harmony is as basic as choosing to view life as a series of actions and consequences. There is a "Knowing."

"Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock."                                 from a Native American Prayer

One is.
One tries.
One gets overwhelmed.
One observes.
One has moments of clarity.
One moves forward.

To build the community center, many skills are needed.
The team has planners, diggers, nailers, decorators.
Joining the effort creates an atmosphere of togetherness.

Realizing that alone one can observe, reflect, shift, transform,
But now it is time to create, work with others; trust and support.
One realizes that the evolution of me reaches a point of aloneness.

Sharing my growth may start out like bumper cars and teacups,
But eventually it transitions to four seats across, strapped in,
On the roller coaster together, leaning into the turns.

Adjusting, compromising, finding the reward together.
It is about learning to manage the swirl of emotions,
Rebooting when necessary to allow for errors.

Winds change, so when the sails catch a gust,
Be flexible, aware, present and shift as a crew.
Direction is ever changing, intention stays the same.

Mistakes will occur, so apply patience and understanding.
The individual gets stronger with support and teaching.
Stumbling is still a forward movement when others help you up.

"When one sits in the Hoop of the People, one must be responsible because all of Creation is related. And the hurt of one is the hurt of all, and the honor of one is the honor of all. And whatever we do affects everything in the universe."                       Lakota Indian teaching

Rap

Day 2.5 in the Bay Area already reveals this trip to be a time of excellent bonding and discussion about relationships, friendship, community, teenagers, wives, partners, and song titles. We speak in prose and move through words of wisdom, reflection, summation, projection, time passages, truths, vulnerability, and learning from all we do toward all we will become.

This is a crowd of people who are making a impact, have made an impact and will make an impact. From global leadership, to learning to what it takes to be a man - these days, picking up those skills naturally is a challenge for men of all ages. Raging Against Power or Recognizing A Possibility, events plow a path into tomorrows.

And now for an excerpt of the draft for the next publication or e-book:

"If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything."

ONE of 7 Billion Observed.

What do I produce?
Not vegetables
What do I make?
Where does my energy go?

The ads push for consumption;
Consequences are not important.
Taste it, drive it, wear it, smell it,
All despite waste and obesity.

Drinking soda
Produces empty cans.
Eating candy
Leaves wrappers.
Producing trash and fat.

I am a landfill contributor.
Not a good result.
Change to positive impact
Do something that is useful.

Energy toward good;
My brain, my hands achieving
Creativity, contribution, solutions.
Leave behind no trace.

Bay Area

MLK had the balls to stand up for what he believed in and lost his life because certain elements of society did not want to hear his message anymore. As a firm believer in "conspiracy" theories and having lived through the times when JFK and Bobbie were gunned down, and then eventually John Lennon met his fate at the hands of a "deranged" guy, I cannot help but be reminded this week of these similar assisnations.

It cannot pass by these pages that these days the people that stir the pot of hate so much brazenly get air time to deny their influence. You doth protest too much.

But as my dear love reminds me, lets focus on happier things. Celebrating and recognizing the life and ideals of MLK is what this weekend is all about, and none does it better than Rhythmic Concepts, Inc. in Oakland. I did not intend to get so personal or shout out names of people I know on this page, thinking for the last month I would have this site be anonymous to a certain degree, therefore allowing this work to have a broader appeal and reach (I will always try and avoid having new humans arriving here feel they are left out of some inner circle of wink wink kind of messages) ....... but here is an exception.

Stacey Hoffman, my sister, has nurtured, labored, and steadily developed and overseen a conscious and artistic masterpiece in her MLK Tributes, alongside her Jazzcampwest.com and jamcampwest.com projects. I am sooooo proud.

So Landrus and I are off to the Bay Area to visit, volunteer, raise a glass, and be part of the best accomplishments in my family. I don't have a lot of time today, but wanted to go on record while referring back to earlier posts that mention getting involved and trying to give back and endeavoring to make a difference. I offer my sister as the #1 prime example of a woman who since the early 1980's has modestly raised money, awareness, and devoted her time to her passion, while providing leadership, instruction, and opportunity for humans of all ages to participate in the joys of the Arts. Music and dance, voices and instruments, raising spirits and the "hair on your neck" with resounding heart and soul, while celebrating the best of our species. AMEN!

What is the Premise?

After years of looking around the Web for places to go every morning over a cup of coffee to read interesting, creative content that is not overly political or drum beating religious, that swings through hot topics, is current yet stable, refreshing, edgy, different and includes fascinating twists on reality, I have looked in the mirror and seen the future.

OK - I got a little carried away there. People have been telling me for years I should write more and recently my son mentioned a friends success on the Web of building a Blog based on her writing skills and unusual slant on life.

In 2010 my goal was to write a book, and with the encouragement of 2 particular friends, I finished a rough draft of ONE of 7 billion. While we wait for the art to be completed (the book is in children's book format but is written for all ages), the fact that sometime in the next 16 months the human population of Earth reaches 7 billion seems significant and worthy of mention in the context of what do we know, where are we headed, what have we learned, what have we forgotten, who are we following, why are we going there, etc. ????

Since moving to SoCal in 2004, I had a great experience in Borrego Springs because of the eclectic people people out there participating in all kinds of community based, non-profit projects in the Arts, Healthcare, and Education. The quality, commitment and intention of the folks in small town America (and Borrego was not the first time I experienced this having lived on Whidbey Island in Washington state and in Sedona, AZ) is very different than the people in suburban SoCal.

My resume includes the non-profit start-up Hospice of Central Arizona, as Director I brought Special Olympics of Santa Cruz County to the mainstream of Santa Cruz awareness, and I have started three for-profit businesses in construction, alternative energy, and online Life Coaching. At 59, I thought it would be efficient to join with other leaders to manifest giving back to my community.

I have encountered and briefly joined forces with 2 "pied piper" characters since moving full-time to North San Diego County.  Although these guys may have great intentions, their lack of skills for organization, their scattered brains, their inability to be completely honest with themselves and therefore others regarding what is truly going on for them, while separating their fantasies from the truth about the process it takes to build a team that will band together to take on a cause that is just, made it impossible for me to continue. A lot can be said about me and I am far from the best model of consistency, but I do stay true to basic beliefs about integrity, accountability, communication, and focus.

So I have launched 1of7b.blogspot.com and my plan is to write about what is on my mind, influenced by what I see today, what I experienced yesterday, and what I foresee for tomorrow. I hope to get others on board and I know our identity will unfold organically. But as a farmer knows all to well, planting the seed is only the first step; you must get sunshine, water, fertilizer, and hoe away the weeds that want to invade the young seedlings growth. With patience there will be a harvest.

I have now worked in Retail for 7 years. I think I have a decent idea of what makes people tick, what they live for, and why they do what they do. I see how many different cultures live in America, the huge disparity between levels of education and what I call worldliness. I am fascinated by the connection we have on a molecular, DNA level, and I wonder about humans ability to successfully be the dominant animal on this planet. When you consider the millions (billions?) of years that this planet has sustained some kind of life forms, humans have only dominated for a few "seconds" of that span and it seems as if we are destined to destroy ourselves because of core instincts gone awry, fear/greed, love/hate, etc.

Take a moment and leave a comment below. I invite you to come back daily for a peak into the mind of XOQ.

Quick Post

So many directions to go when you are posting up. The Colorado Basketball shirt brings curious questions about the connection, but with limited time on an early work schedule it will have to wait until dark. Interesting old school movie that is with one of the Hepburn's (Audrey). The distant cousin follow us here, so a shout out to relatives. Relatively speaking, college sports is sham at the top levels and pure student athlete competition in the smaller sports and at the smaller schools. We have a small town, big hearted family member playing American pro football in Italy this year and the boys are going over in late May to hang out and see more of the world. The expression "youth is wasted on the young" does not apply to this crew lead by our boy Landrus.

Quick oats from Henry's are in the van cause my girl emptied her Quaker can this morning. Always keeping an eye on the prize and not missing a step, she'll have her cereal tomorrow. The ethic of doing for others is a Quaker ideal and in the back bone of caring humans that put others first. So raise a toast today if you can't find a barn to build on your way home. Hug the loved one and return again for more posts.

Don't Let it Go

The news cycle is keeping the world abreast of the condition of Gabrielle Giffords, the Arizona Representative shot in the head on Saturday. The background information about the shooter and the reasons why he blasted away at 15-20 people on Saturday clearly indicate the themes discussed here under the Heading "Degrees" over the weekend.

By next week at this time, the world will have moved on to another story, from another place, probably just as horrific, sensational, and/or revealing about the condition of humanity. When you see a parent abusing a child, or see a shoplifter stealing merchandise, or witness a accident while driving to work, do you do something about it or just let it go and mind your own business?

What is our motivation? How to we become more concerned? Can 1 out of 7 billion people make a difference? (Thanks to Casey for updating us on the fact that the 7 billion threshold will be reached in 2012.)

The answer is not simple. If we don't specifically react to an event we see on TV, are we just another person that does not care? If we don't confront the shoplifter, does it mean we are afraid? If we drive past an accident that might include injuries are we wisely getting out of the way to allow emergency vehicles through?

It goes beyond who is being the judge of any of these reactions. The question revolves around how are we making a difference somewhere in our circle of life. If enough of the rest of the 7 billion do something positive that impacts things they touch, than it stands to reason that so much more would be right in the world.

Don't let it go. Chose something outside of your SELF to support, help, assist, carry, fund, change, Do something everyday. Be a giver not a taker.

Degrees

Radical elements of every society disrupt millions of people with acts of violence. The thoughts, feelings, expressions, and distorted realities of these individuals have been flamed by the media, drum beaters, and self-proclaimed leaders of the groups formed around the belief that is the systems of organized government that are the cause of what is wrong with their life and the condition of the world.

Observing the truth about the place of these individuals in the history of humans, it is evident they have always existed in very small %'s of populations on every continent. It is not surprising that they exist because in analysis of beliefs amongst humans there is a disparate specturm of thinking from "left to right" everywhere. The significance of this particular slice of humans, is that their behavior is so extreme and violent that they stand out as the biggest threat to the peace and well being of the rest.

Let's not move away from this reality without pointing out a fact. Sarah Palin has posted on her websites images of rifle sitings, actual cross hairs aimed at the cities and towns on the map of America where she believes there are political servants who deserve to be targeted for their beliefs and votes in Congress. This is the kind of irresponsible action that influences the decisions of assassins and should be illegal and prosecuted as an act of violence.

If you think that America is built on a Constitution that allows, even permits this kind of action under the heading of freedom of speech, than you need to read more, study more, and learn more about the men that wrote the Constitution, know more about what motivated them to be on this continent, where they came from, what those times were about, what was happening in the towns of the early settlements, what they learned in school, in church, and from their families. When you get your degree in History, and have read the biographies of Washington, Jefferson and 10 other of the circle of leaders from 1770, report back about what they were setting out to do in the "New World".

The word "degree" has many meanings. It is a recognition of completing a course of study. Used in forms of measurement, it can be how far in one direction or another is the temperature, an angle in math, and/or the torque of a wrench. It is steps in a process, like degree of difficulty. Relative intensity is measured by a high degree of accuracy. A specific division of crime might be murder in the second degree. As a classification of the severity of an injury, doctors will treat a third-degree burn. A skilled practitioner is said to have a high degree of competence.

Education is vital for humans to be productive and to live peacefully and in harmony with the planet and each other. The further the pendulum swings toward a planet with an ever smaller percentage of people with fresh water and an ever larger population of 7 billion people in which billions of living beings do not have vegetation, are exposed to filth and disease, and are not able to fend for themselves, the more mornings we will tune into reports of chaos, mayhem, and get ever closer to collapse.

Oh, by the way, Mother Earth cares little about these issues. It is going through its own changes and periods of ice ages, earthquakes, violent tornadoes, etc. all in response to the forces bottled up below the crust and the Sun flares, meteors, and celestial events that make what humans do seem beyond trivial.

"Sometimes there's just not enough rocks."

Forrest Gump famously reminds us that his Momma always told him: "life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what your going get." True enough. Last night Forrest graced our home screen again and it is always obvious why this flick is on most people's Top Ten of All Time movies. The nuggets of wisdom seen through the eyes and experience of a simple man make it worthy, but it is the reflection on the timeline and the sound track that always pull me into the scenes as they smoothly transition through the 60's and 70's and 80's

Add in the lovely Robin Wright, who honestly portrays characters from farm girl to flower child to party woman; always the victim of abuse at the hands of the men in her life, except Forrest of course. This time I was struck hard at the moment they come upon her childhood home and with great emotion, Jenny throws her shoes and then anything she can find on the ground at the walls and windows of her past. Forrest realizes that "sometimes there's just not enough rocks" to end the pain and remove the scars of the events that shape our psychological demons.

The human experience includes so much yin and yang. It is assumed by so many cultures and creeds that this creates balance. The need for a positive attitude to force us onward through the good, the bad, and the ugly undoubtedly is a mind frame that have been conjured from the early days of cave dwelling. Humans had to learn to invoke mind games to survive the psychological and physical tragedies and losses of limbs and dead family members, young and old. Vicious wild animals, starvation, thirst, natural forces, disease, food poisoning and the other threats that have existed on this planet from the beginning of time can only be endured when the brain focuses on mental and physical survival.

As time marches on, the physical threat to existence on Earth has been tempered by modernization, medicine, and domination of the animal kingdom. So this leaves the harm done human on human. The traumatic events in our family, the name calling and bullying in the hallways of our schools, and the prejudice and bigoted hiring in the workplace make the reality of existence, and the anger so many build up through their life, makes way too many feel that "sometimes there's just not enough rocks."

What Connects Us?

Fact: you'll be 1 of 7 billion during 2011. Your story is unique, like your fingerprints and your face (unless you have an identical twin). Your life experience is unique, but you can relate to the "stories" of others. Your journey is a movie starring you. Your parents write the script in the early days and at some point you take control of the screenplay and then the Director's chair.

Books and big screen movies are conjured from the observations, reflections, imagination, and personal experiences of the authors. Some are written to be a slice of life, some challenge your brain, some scare, some recount a true story, some are simply fantasy rides, others are detective or mystery tales.

In 2011, the goal is to get the book "ONE of 7 billion" out to the public, as either an e-book or as a self published paperback. (Yes, we would like to find a publisher on a bigger scale, so if you have connections turn them on to us.)

The Table of Contents lists the Chapters: ONE lives, ONE laughed, ONE wondered, ONE stumbled, ONE pondered, ONE observed, ONE judged, ONE explored, ONE changed, ONE joined, ONE smiled

The story of ONE is our story. This really happens. This connects us.

Another Beginning

It has come to my attention that the thread of ideas, thoughts, and discourse on this Bloq make assumptions. I get it; it does not necessarily follow that being like minded or interested or curious would include that a reader, follower, and future participant, would know anything about XOQ. (More about XOQ)

XOQ (pronounced ZOK, like Spock) is fresh, new, and unearthed in 2010. It simply appeared one day in the mind of the beholder as a grouping of letters conjured through a conscious effort to find a word that had a K sound in it. It had to be only three letters and it could not appear on a Google search. Seriously, this the truth about how XOQ popped out of nowhere. Really, just follow along; please believe that everything written here is the truth, as it occurred.

Driving home from work one day, it simply became important to find such a word. It took a little Googling with a few different combinations of letters, but actually not very long. XOQ appears in only one language, the native tongue of Aruba. And in that dictionary XOQ means "crossing over". It is the last name of a few people on Facebook and also for some reason is used by computer programmers. If you know someone in that line of work, please ask them and report back.

It is amazing how easily all the imagery was discovered since realizing that XOQ was the word. This fascination with XOQ is being shared; the concept and how it promotes the opportunity to explore, research, breakdown, expand, and enjoy the analysis of life itself is kool. (it is not cool to keep using "kool" but you'll have to live with it). (Even more about XOQ)

The connection between XOQ and ONE of 7 Billion and Another Beginning is an easy line to draw. Three letter words like XOQ and ONE are to the point. When the rough draft for the book XOQ:Another Beginning was started in 2010, the main character was XOQ. XOQ's journey though time, life, wisdom, etc. was filled with messages about how similar we all are and how much has not changed since the first human dropped from the last non-humanoid form that proceeded it (see: monkey, ape, gorilla, and the other theories uncovered by Anthropologists over the years.)

But as some who have joined us here might admit, figuring out what or who XOQ is became a stumbling block to the true message of the book, so the main character became ONE and the title to the book was changed to ONE of 7 Billion which was recommended as significant and current since in 2011 we will all become 1 of 7 billion. The mathematicians write it like this 1:7,000,000

So now you know the story of XOQ and you might go back and start over on this site from Post #1 to catch up. Before we part for today take a moment, if you have a spare one, and write a comment. See you soon ....... (XOQ is here)

Supernova

When you have the opportunity to expand your mind and let go of assumptions (this is best done with a prescription, medical grade cannabis) pondering the origin of all things spirals back to some form of Supernova. Scientific research reveals that the single microbes blasted into what we now call the Universe had one or two of the molecular structures found in every DNA studied to date.

Viewing the DNA double helix under high powered microscopes has opened up a world so detailed that it has been determined that the tiniest of atoms look remarkably like the Universe itself at a different scale. If you stare at the image below, this small piece of the DNA string spells out the letters X O Q linked together.

So XOQ is inside all of us and by definition means "crossing over." When the discovery of this phenomenon settled into my brain, I was relieved to finally find answers to so many haunting questions, the most important 2 of which were "What am I here to do and what will my mind uncover that others had not seen?"

When I applied this knowledge to scenarios (actually it was during a brainstorming session with Landrus and special love and thanks are shouted out here to him) and looking for explanations of how we might better understand the possibilities, the simplest of concepts arose from the depths.

We have been de-programmed from birth to look at reality differently than we would if left to discover reality for ourselves in the natural world. Through the manipulation of the tangled web woven by society and what has come to be know as normal child development, we are lost to find comfort in food, reality TV and Sunday services.

When you stare at the image below, the simple game of Tic-Tac-Toe takes on a whole new meaning and sheds light on truths about what has happened to all 7 billion inhabitants on this sphere.

This would be a good time to go back and read the two posts proceeding this one at 1of7b.blogspot.com "Bankruptcy" and "Closet Organizers" to catch up with the train of thought on xoq, out of the box thinking, metamorphosis, ONE, et. al.

Bankruptcy

Another Beginning - the opportunity to bounce back. But bankruptcy is a soft cushion that prevents you from hitting rock bottom. Unable to pay back debt will result in loosing assets, but in a world of second chances, there is a powerful OZ willing to bail you out while protecting some of what is left.

But what happened to accountability. It wasn't always this way; survival of the fittest is the natural order of things. Being tossed from the tribe because of bad behavior, left to wander the wilderness on your own was the norm in much earlier, native times.

When did it change? Why is the bail out the answer? There has been a shift and it's a mystery. Consider it to be the mystery of "xoq" - you remember the out of the "box" thinking - turning the word 180 degrees - the other side of the coin (see recent post0.

What is XOQ? It is a microcosm of the conversation about the origin of humans, language, and Earth. No one has traced the precise roots of XOQ, however many people have a firm, yet factually shaky and contradictory belief in a XOQ story. XOQ seems to be very personal. You make a connection to XOQ through your identity and sense of pride about your culture, religion, language, and/or myths.  Your XOQ will certainly be shaped by who you are and where you come from.

XOQ is Universal. That is the truth. XOQ may be the reality that we share the desire to understand our world, our own belief systems, and the universal issues of being human. Why are we here? What is our destiny?

XOQ can build a bridge to Another Beginning.  XOQ is Anonymous. There is only one language on Earth where the word XOQ appears. It means "cross over" in Papiamento, the native language of Aruba. Crossing over to Another Beginning. Bankruptcy.

XOQ is also found in some software code strings. Do you know the explanation of it's usage in computer language?

XOQ is Simple. XOQ seems to lie dormant in everyone, waiting for rediscovery. Was XOQ found in a cave painting in Nepal? Did Jacques Cousteau find XOQ carved in stone deep in the ocean? Do whales "clicking" sounds translate to XOQ. Have NASA expeditions found evidence of XOQ symbols on the Moon and Mars?

XOQ is in your DNA. Return here soon to see the images of XOQ in the "Double Helix" structure?   DNA contains the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms. Like the metamorphosis, the transformation is built into the butterfly's cocoon miracle.

Closet Organizers

Being organized requires no risk, just lots of rubbermaid totes, wire shelves, walk-in closets, and/or garage space. When you have lots of stuff, at some point you want to put it away (unless you surround yourself with all the things you own - right there out in the open, piled on the floor - until you have to build a walking path just to get from the couch to the toilet - I have actually seen that lifestyle and it isn't pretty.)

A large % of humans don't have enough possessions to worry about storage - this is a Western Civilization phenomena. But what about that mention of risk in the first sentence of this reflection. It seems to be completely dis-connected to thoughts about closet organization? See if you can follow this reasoning: Tic-Tac-Toe is the first game humans play that requires organized thinking. And it is interesting to observe that kids quickly learn the ways to block each other, while sacrificing their chance of success. Keep those X's and O's inside one of the 9 squares on the tic-tac-toe game board and your chance of winning diminishes rapidly.

What would happen if you expressed you individuality and used another symbol like Q and placed it outside the box? While your pondering that concept, tip your head over to the right, more, more, more, and try and look upside down at the word "box" and observe it is the word "xoq" in a "flipped on its head world." More about that later.

In America it is a tradition to spend time packing away the Holiday stuff carefully so next winter it all comes back out to look just like it did in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 1994, 1993, 1981, 1975, 1974  ...... you get the idea. You do this 'cause Mom did it or you think your supposed to; actually you are sure you are supposed to. But what if ........... what if ........... what if ........... you came out of your cocoon like the caterpillar who crawled into does and "metamorphosized" into an individual who was different, who let go of assumptions, who wrote your own script, who found your Q?

Keep in mind that humans are capable of doing incredible out of the ordinary things. But it seems that they usually only do them at times of sudden shock or trauma; like the time the ordinary Mom picked up the car that rolled on top of her infant to save her child's life. How do we harness this superhuman ability that is built into your DNA.

Think about the following words of wisdom and check back here again and there will be further discourse on what is trapped inside every breathing thing.

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."  Anaïs Nin

"People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself.  But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates."  Thomas Szasz

Why not start 2011 with a deeper, detailed look at the inner workings of processing the ins and outs of the delay intake and outflow? This can be done in a CTscan at your local hospital or can be observed through a long snake with camera, flashlight and cutter all in one. Wouldn't it be great to be able to take the same tool, insert it into a port in the back of your TV and do a seek and destroy mission on the warts, palops, and tumors on FOX Noise?

Cleansing every now and again is good for the mind, body and spirit. Mother Earth takes care of it even though humans try to build barracades, foundation bolts, cliff nets, and have recently discovered defensible perimeter landscaping all to no ultimate effect against the forces that be. Why not just be smart enough not to settle in tornado alley, California canyons, or flood plains? But there we go again assuming humans might use their brain instead of there passion for ego while invoking their desire to conquer everything in their path in the name of the lord. (See end of paragraph one for the ingredients to cleansing that aspect of our brethren.)

The folly of avoiding the inevitable was so eloquently scripted by the writers of Gene Roddenberry's vision quest when they penciled in the Borg and reminded us that "resistance is futile." ONE's attempt at life, growing up, learning at school, home and play, will spill from these pages during 2011.

If you follow along (or maybe tune in at a later date and pick up where we left off) you might relate to the experience since we all travel the same path with variations on the themes. Much of it will be doled out in the form of sound bites that are simple, wise quotes, mostly from the Anonymous source that seems to be so all pervasive in our library of accessible information. I will address my theories and fascinations about what we remember and pass down through the generations that is unattributable but profoundly slams against of consciousness with a loud "DUH!"

I am particularly fond of this: ""Nobody knows the age of the human race, but everybody agrees that it is old enough to know better" Anonymous
